Personal Development Activities

1. NOTE TO A STRANGER

PicturePicture

I felt so nervous and excited at the same time when I received the mission from our lecturer, Miss Pang. This mission requires us to walk out of the lecture theater, compliment a stranger and take a photo of the receiver as photo evidence. I have written the complimentary sentence on a piece of note before I step out of the lecture theater. After that, I started walking towards the direction to the library. I was pacing back and forth in front of 24/7 room for around 5 minutes as I am too shy to approach anyone. Just then, when I look towards the bench outside of 24/7 room, there were two Malay girls sitting there smiling at me. I quickly smile and approach them, initiating conversations with them. They are very willing to help me. I completed the task with great satisfaction in heart! I wish to do more activities like this because I felt happy to give compliments and making new friends.

3. STRAW TOWER-BUILDING
In this activity, we need to be able to build a straw tower. Whoever built the highest and the tower able to stand both ways is the winner. There are some obstacles while doing this. At the end of the day, we didn't win this activity however I gained valuable lesson. The first lesson I learned is about team work. Working as a team might be tough but working together is sometimes end up with a better result. Second, think open-mindedly and ready to accept different ideas because with many minds combined, great concept could be created.
4.CHINESE WHISPERER GAME
We were divided into 6 groups in lecture theater 22 to play the Chinese Whisperer Game. I am in group 5 and the picture on the left is the group picture we took after the activity.

The Chinese Whisperer Game was so fun and interesting! We are required to let a visual learner observed and pass information of the picture all the way to the artist of our group. All of us managed to pass the information correctly but someone pronounced the Axes as eggs. And so our designer drew 2 Axes in the final picture.

To conclude, I think all of us did a good job in passing information and the entire experience of this game is pleasant.
